Working closely with Sharon Vessels, Director of Marketing at NDS, Inc. and Ryan Larsen, Technical Services Manager (product expert), we produced this installation video for the "do-it-yourselfer." Our team discussed the need to create a video that addressed installation and to highlight the various stages of the installation. The team also decided that the video needed to be as short as possible. So the challenge was keeping it short, while not missing any of the vital steps of the installation process.
Once I had a rough cut prepared, the team then tightened up the script and passed it on to me to make final edit adjustments. I met up with our actor to get on-screen host segments and then proceeded to put this DIY video together. To ensure the viewer understood important points of the process, the team decided the video needed a few motions graphic pieces.
Produced in 2012, the timer programming footage was shot in Ponte Vedra, Florida and the host footage was shot in Woodland Hills, California.
Equipment used: Nikon D7000 with the 18-105mm lens. Audio-Technica ATW-1811D wireless mic system paired with the Zoom H4N portable digital recorder for our talent's audio.
Adobe CS6 Production Suite was used exclusively to do all the post-production work, which includes: editing, motion graphics, color correction and audio sweetening.
